Two districts at Early Access

Car Wash Simulator’s Early Access build—scheduled for August 10, 2026 on Steam—opens with two districts: Rent Hike Ridge and Havenwood. Together they host ten car washes and six cars to detail, with plans to grow toward roughly four districts and twenty washes on the road to a fuller release. This hub orients you before you dump a lease deposit on the wrong block.

The Steam demo can be downloaded earlier, but it may not expose the entire dual-district sandbox—see the Demo Guide and Demo vs Early Access.

District pages

  • Rent Hike Ridge — the name telegraphs economic pressure; expect a neighborhood fantasy where rents, hustle, and wash competition flavor your decisions.
  • Havenwood — the counterpart district for branching your brand once the first foothold prints tips.

Read both before owning both. Walking distance, bay layouts, and customer mixes change which Equipment upgrades matter.

Properties: rent, buy, lease

The verbs that change your bank balance live on Properties: when to rent versus buy, how leasing and daily collection work, and which gates should block expansion. Skim that leaf before you treat ten washes as a checklist. Property mistakes are slower to undo than a bad foam color choice.

What “map knowledge” improves

Throughput. Shorter mental routes between hose, mat grate, and interior kit raise cars-per-hour (How to Wash Cars).

Timers. New buildings temporarily hurt Timed Jobs EV until muscle memory returns—budget practice laps.

Leasing. Passive income sites should be easy to keep presentable; chaotic layouts tax facility resets.

Side content. Plaza Mini-Games and shady stopovers (Shady Deals) sit in the living sandbox—know what is near your active wash.

Expansion order (practical)

  1. Master one home bay (skills from Getting Started).
  2. Unlock tool stability (Tier List, Tools Hub, Online Store).
  3. Add a secondary wash for lease income (Make Money Fast, Properties).
  4. Branch districts when buffers exist—not when a single failed timer would bounce rent.

Day/night cycles and random event cards mean travel time is part of risk—see Day/Night Events. Do not schedule back-to-back mega jobs across opposite ends of town on night-one familiarity.

Real estate verbs to remember

Developer feature lists highlight renting, buying, cleaning, furnishing, selling, and leasing secondary facilities. Each verb has a map implication: buying ties you to a coordinate; leasing spreads income; selling frees capital for a better corner. Plantation fantasy also needs a secondary property node—never convert your only classroom bay.

Full-version map expectations

Solo developer letters describe doubling the world over time. Wishlist four-district dreams, play the two-district reality first. Track openings on Updates, Release Date, and Steam channels via Official Links.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many districts are in Early Access?

Two at Early Access start: Rent Hike Ridge and Havenwood, with ten car washes between them.

Will more districts be added?

Full-version plans aim toward roughly four districts and twenty washes. Follow Updates during Early Access for actual additions.

Should I buy washes in both districts immediately?

No. Stabilize one bay and a sensible secondary lease before branching across town. See the Properties guide for expansion gates.

Does the demo include both districts?

Not necessarily. Treat the demo as a mechanics sampler and confirm district access in your build.

Why does layout matter for timed jobs?

Longer walks between tools and stages consume clock time even if your cleaning order is perfect.

Where do rent, buy, and lease decisions live on this wiki?

Open the Properties page under Map for verbs, daily collection, and when expansion is premature.
